Job Description
Job Title: Lead Test Automation Engineer
The Lead Test Automation Engineer will collaborate within a dynamic team to work on a diverse range of hardware and software products and technologies, contributing to the delivery of market-leading solutions.
The primary emphasis of this role will be on designing test systems for new products to establish a robust test automation architecture. Additionally, there will be a focus on updating and automating existing systems for our lighting and video control products.
Key responsibilities:
- Design test automation systems and frameworks for various projects.
- Develop thorough and well-organized test plans and test cases.
- Create, implement, and run automation test scripts.
- Work closely with internal teams, including developers and product managers, to determine system requirements.
- Collaborate with and mentor software developers and junior QA engineers to ensure high standards of code and testing quality.
Essential qualifications:
- Experience working in a comparable role with test automation software.
- Experience writing automated tests with Python or similar software development
- Good knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
Desirable Extras:
- Experience with unit testing
- Familiarity with video standards and technologies
- Previous experience with project management and team leadership
