Commercial Gas Engineer
Location: Field-based position covering Hull and surrounding areas in North and East Yorkshire (HG, HU, YO, WF postcodes).
Salary will depend on qualifications and experience.

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Gas Engineer to work across high street retailers and banking clients. The successful candidate will carry out maintenance, repair, and basic electrical and fabric-related tasks to ensure the smooth operation of buildings under contract.
Responsibilities:
* Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and ensure all paperwork and reports are accurately completed.
* Deliver statutory and mandatory tasks within required timescales, completing certification and clearly identifying any remedial works.
* Handle reactive maintenance tasks and emergency repairs efficiently.
* Use handheld technology for task management and reporting.
* Participate in a call-out rota to provide full out-of-hours coverage.
* Assist team members as required and liaise with supervisors or contract managers as needed.
* Monitor subcontractors’ work standards, issue Permits, and ensure adherence to Health & Safety regulations.
* Provide information for quotes and identify opportunities for additional works on-site.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Qualifications: City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
* Experience: Proven maintenance, testing, and fault-finding skills on equipment such as:
* Boiler plants
* Ventilation systems
* Pumps
* Generators
* Switchgear
* Cables, batteries, and small power/lighting systems.
* Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
* Ability to work independently, manage tasks effectively, and respond proactively to client needs.
