Job Description

We have an exciting new opportunity for an Electrical Site Supervisor join a national organisation, working within their Energy (M&E) Division, based in Bournemouth, Dorset.

The primary objective of the Electrical Supervisor is to work in accordance with the National Working Rules for the Electrical Contracting Industry, the current IET Wiring Regulations for the Requirements of Electrical Installations BS7671 and the Construction Industry Safety Regulations.

Hours of Work: 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Overtime available at enhanced rate.

Location: Bournemouth, Dorset

The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following tasks:

Supervising electrical teams and co-ordinating the daily activities of the electrical teams.
Working with contractors to complete projects on time.
Writing up and submitting daily activity reports to the project manager.
Work to Electrical Operational Procedures, safe working practices and Health & Safety procedures as required by the BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical installations, 17th Edition, Amendment 3.
Provide technical guidance and support to the Dc Power Teams.
Ensuring adherence to all applicable electrical safety policies and procedures.
Contracting outside vendors for parts or when requiring technical assistance.
Coordinate and complete all site Audits and all follow up actions.
Helping project managers to conduct Health & Safety inspections in work areas.
Carrying out planned and reactive electrical work on all FWN Electrical Projects.
Undertake Electrical duties as required including test inspection, installations, and site surveys.
Experience:

To be successful in this role the Electrical Supervisor will:

Proven experience in electrical supervision, particularly in robust M&E projects in a healthcare environment or similar complex facilities.
Have strong planning, organisation, and monitoring abilities.
Maintain and build up a good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, customers, suppliers, and senior management teams.
Be able to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
Communicate effectively with all other departments.
Enjoy a challenge, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
Have a strong orientation towards quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Can prioritise work, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage business expectations.
Be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work.
A legal right to work in the UK.
Education:

A recognized qualification in electrical engineering or related discipline
Certification in electrical safety (18th Edition of Wiring Regulations, NEBOSH/IOSH certification is desirable).
Have a high standard of numeracy.
Be educated to a G.C.S.E level B+ in Mathematics & English (or equivalent).
Be computer literate.
Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
