Job Title: Director of Clinical Services
Location: Private Hospital, Coventry
Salary: Up to £55,000-£60,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Vacancy Type: Permanent - Full Time
We are seeking an enthusiastic, engaging, and skilled Director of Clinical Services to join a dynamic and quality-driven team at a leading private mental health hospital. As part of the senior leadership team, you will have operational and clinical responsibility for the nursing and therapy teams, ensuring the highest standards of patient care are provided at all times, with a focus on clinical and therapeutic outcomes. You will play a key role in the development and delivery of the hospital's strategy, driving quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and standards.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to Rehabilitation & Recovery services for patients with Serious Mental Illness and additional complexities, including physical health conditions, substance misuse, and secondary mental health issues.
Responsibilities:
* Provide operational leadership for the clinical teams (nursing and therapy) across the hospital.
* Ensure the highest standards of patient care and therapeutic outcomes are achieved.
* Lead the development and implementation of hospital strategies and clinical initiatives.
* Forge positive professional relationships with external health and social care professionals.
* Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, policies, and professional standards.
* Lead quality improvement initiatives, monitor clinical effectiveness, and embed best practices.
* Manage the clinical budget effectively.
* Participate in the on-call Senior Management Team (SMT) rota for the local region.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Must be registered with either NMC or HCPC.
* A comprehensive understanding of statutory regulations within the healthcare setting.
* Passion for providing high-quality care and continuous improvement.
* Proven leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a clinical setting (minimum 2 years as a Ward Manager or equivalent).
* Strong experience in people management and clinical leadership.
* Experience in managing clinical budgets and implementing quality initiatives.
* A proactive and creative approach to problem-solving and service delivery.
