Job Description
We are currently working with a National Manufacturing business to assist with the recruitment of Multi-skilled Engineers at their site close to Reading.
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing facilities. You will be responsible for performing preventative and reactive maintenance on a variety of machinery and equipment to minimise downtime and optimise productivity. This role will require you to work on a rotating Monday to Friday 3-shift pattern, including earlies, afters, and nights.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting routine maintenance checks and inspections on machinery and equipment to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
* Responding promptly to breakdowns and malfunctions to minimise downtime and ensure continuous production.
* Performing repairs and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
* Collaborating with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and prioritise tasks effectively.
* Utilising computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) to log work orders, record maintenance activities, and maintain accurate documentation.
* Adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to maintenance.
* Flexibility to work on a rotating 3-shift pattern, including earlies, afters, and nights.
* Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, HNC, HND) in engineering or a related field.
* Experience working with PLCs and other automated systems would be advantageous.
