Finance Manager, International Organisation, London, £50-55k

A dynamic non-profit SME is seeking an experienced Finance Lead to oversee financial management and compliance. The organisation is dedicated to impactful global initiatives through research and advocacy.

About the Role

As a key team member, you’ll manage financial planning, reporting, and operational systems while ensuring compliance with donor and governmental regulations. Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll play a strategic role in advancing the organisation’s impactful mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounting: Maintain bookkeeping, process payroll, manage cash flow, and prepare management accounts.
• Budgeting and Donor Reporting: Develop budgets for donor proposals, oversee donor reporting schedules, and prepare financial reports.
• Audit and Compliance: Lead internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
• Operational Efficiency: Strengthen financial systems, ensure quality control, and present financial reports to the Board.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualifications: Professional accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Background in NGO grant funding and financial management; familiarity with USAID, EU, or UN funding is desirable.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organisational skills; expertise in QuickBooks is a plus.
• Personal Attributes: Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to ethical financial practices.
