Supply Desk is looking for an experienced History Teacher to work 5 days a week in a school in Bierton (Buckinghamshire). The role will consist of being adaptable and confident teaching across all key stages in a secondary school.
We are seeking a dynamic and qualified Secondary History Teacher with a valid Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a love for history, creating an inclusive learning environment, and contributing to the overall success of the history department.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and interactive history lessons to secondary school students
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports academic and personal development
Plan and implement effective teaching strategies, catering to diverse learning needs and styles
Incorporate innovative and technology-driven methods to enhance the learning experience
Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular initiatives and contribute to the history department's success
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback for continuous improvement
Cultivate positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to build a collaborative school community
Stay informed about educational developments and actively participate in professional development opportunities
Uphold high standards of behaviour, discipline, and professionalism in line with school policies
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (Desired but not essential)
Specialisation in History or a related subject
Passion for History and continuous personal knowledge development
