Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Psychology Graduate) - Various Roles Available
Location: Reading and surrounding areas
Job Type: Part-time and full-time, flexible hours, short-term and long-term contracts
Pay Rate: £85-£95 per day
Are you a psychology graduate looking to break into the education sector?
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistants to join our team of support staff in schools across Reading and surrounding areas. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning in the classroom, working alongside experienced teachers and education professionals, particularly with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Responsibilities:
Support teaching staff with lesson preparation, delivery, and assessment
Assist with the supervision of students during lessons and activities
Provide one-to-one support to students who require additional help, particularly SEN students
Help to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
Develop your knowledge and skills in SEN teaching and learning practices
Requirements:
A degree in Psychology or a related field
An interest in working with children with Special Educational Needs
Experience working with children or young adults (desirable but not essential)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work varying hours, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional evenings
