Job Description
We are seeking a Design Technology Teacher (DT Teacher) for a vibrant SEMH school in Cambridgeshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and imaginative teacher.
Requirements:
* Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons, integrating practical workshop sessions to enhance student learning.
* Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and independent thinking.
* Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning needs and styles.
* Utilise workshop equipment and resources effectively, ensuring the safety and well-being of students at all times.
* Assess student progress through a variety of methods, providing constructive feedback and support for individual development.
* Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the ongoing improvement of the DT curriculum and departmental initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Specialisation in Design and Technology or related fields.
* Demonstrated experience in delivering engaging DT lessons, with a focus on practical workshop activities.
* Strong knowledge of workshop equipment, tools, and materials relevant to the DT curriculum.
* Genuine desire to work with children and foster their development.
