Waking Night Support Worker - Children's Solo Home
** Plus a Sign on Bonus of £500 once Passing 6 Month Probation Period!!
We Care Bespoke Ltd provide bespoke support for vulnerable children, young people, and adults throughout the Northeast of England. OFSTED rated our services as ‘Good’. We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this dedication.
We currently have 3 solo children homes in the Stanley area and are looking for support workers for permanent waking night support for these services.
We are looking for individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of young people; to promote them to develop socially, emotionally, and behaviourally in a setting where they feel safe and cared for. To act as a positive role model and work closely with the young people to enable them to overcome any barriers and achieve their maximum potential.
Waking Nights Support Worker, working out at 37 Hours a week approximately 3x 12-hour shift, additional overtime may be available.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support the child/young person to maintain evening activities; personal care routines, medication, food preparation, etc
- Ensure to maintain the child's health, personal, emotional well being and safety throughout
-Maintain accurate and thorough records
- Complete any household chores during the night
- Support day staff with preparation throughout the night
- Complete thorough handovers
- Report any concerns in changes to a child/young person; health, behaviour, safeguarding concerns
What we would like from you
- Understands and has experience in thorough record keeping
- High level and strong communication
- Ability to take direction
· Level 2/3 in Health and Social care (children), or equivalent with the aim of completing Level 4 Diploma in Children and Young people
· 12 months experience working in a children's residential setting.
· Have a UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.
