Job Title: Maths Teacher
Location: Doncaster
Salary Range: £140 – £190 per day (Depending on experience)
Start: ASAP
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you a passionate Mathematics teacher ready to inspire the next generation of problem solvers? If so, GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and skilled Mathematics Teacher to join our team in Doncaster, with an immediate start.
About the role:
As a Mathematics Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that promote problem-solving and critical thinking skills. You will assess student progress, provide feedback, and create a positive learning environment to foster a love for mathematics.
Key Responsibilities as a Teacher of Maths:
Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan and teach lessons that inspire students and promote a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.
Promote Critical Thinking: Encourage analytical thinking and problem-solving skills through interactive and challenging activities.
Assess and Track Progress: Regularly assess student performance and provide feedback to help students improve.
Create a Positive Learning Environment: Foster a classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and a love for mathematics.
Support Differentiation: Adapt teaching methods to cater to the individual needs and learning styles of students.
Collaborate with Colleagues: Work alongside fellow teachers to ensure the effective delivery of the mathematics curriculum.
Engage with Parents: Provide updates and feedback to parents on student progress and development.
As the ideal Teacher of Maths, you should have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): A mandatory requirement for teaching in the UK.
Educational Background: A degree in Mathematics or a related field.
Teaching Experience: Previous teaching experience is preferred, though newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply.
Strong Communication Skills: The ability to explain complex mathematical concepts clearly and effectively.
Classroom Management: Proven ability to manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment.
Passion for Mathematics: A genuine enthusiasm for teaching mathematics and inspiring students.
DBS: Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered with the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
