SEN Teaching assistant
Location: Lincoln, Lincolnshire
Salary £83.33 - £95.00 Per day
Start date: ASAP
GSL Education are looking for full time SEN Teaching Assistant to start after as soon as possible. This role will be to work in schools supporting students in small groups or 1-1. As a teaching assistant you will prepare learning materials and adapt to teaching support according to students needs. As well as this you will look after children’s physical, social and emotional welfare. Keeping records and working with professionals.
Requirements:
Sensitivity and understanding
Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
Enjoy working with other people
Flexible and open to change
Excellent verbal communication skills
Knowledge of teaching and the ability to design courses
The ability to understand people’s reactions
Active listening skills
Qualifications & Experience:
Level 1 or 2 Teaching assistant qualification
Enhanced child workforce DBS, registered on the Update Service
Previous experience dealing with primary school-aged youngsters.
Understanding of the primary education curriculum and teaching practices.
A genuine interest in assisting children's learning and growth.
