Job Description

Are you an experienced Design Engineer / Design Consultant / Design Manager operating in a senior capacity? Do you have experience either in the BIM, M&S OR MEP sectors? Are you a confident user of Revit, Navisworks & Inventor software? Then we could have the perfect role for you! We are recruiting for a Principal Design Engineer to join a fantastic company offering flexible hybrid working, a very competitive salary, a wealth of benefits and a strong team environment. This role is available due to an internal movement due to growth within the company.

What will your day to day activities as a Design Manager include?

This position will be responsible for taking the lead of design projects within the construction industry. The role will include site visits, fully designing brackets/modular systems using a variety of softwares (Revit, Navisworks and Inventor), stress analysis (with use of Ansys, Frame Generator, Nastran etc), supporting the wider design team, conduct Modern Method or Construction, Design and Delivery Strategy and much more.

This position will be on a permanent basis working a 37 hour working week and will offer the flexibility to work from home to suit the candidate. There is an option to work from home upto 4 days per week with office working being based in West Browmich.

What will you need to be considered for this opportunity?

* Strong confidence working on construction design software including Revit, Navisworks and Inventor

* A very strong communicator to pass on knowledge to the design team, communicate with customers and internal teams to see a project through to a high standard and to meet deadlines

* Experience in arranging and attending site visits

* It is essential that the successful candidate has a strong MEP, BIM or M&E background with a minimum of 4 years’

* University education is essential

* Having operated at a senior capacity in previous roles is highly desirable

* It is essential that the successful candidate has experience with stress analysis experience

* Right to work in the UK
