Location: Cheadle, SK8
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Type of Work: Full-time (Long Term)
Start Date: January 2025
Duration: Ongoing
Contract Type: Long-term Temp
Rate of Pay: Minimum GBP95+ per day
Hours: 8:30 am 3:30 pm
About the Role:
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Cheadle. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and committed to fostering a positive learning environment.
The successful candidate will:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and other learning needs.
Assist in creating a nurturing and engaging classroom environment.
Collaborate closely with teachers to implement tailored educational strategies.
Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development, both inside and outside the classroom.
Exhibit resilience and adaptability, meeting the diverse challenges of working with SEN pupils.
What Were Looking For:
We are searching for someone with:
Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (Level 3 preferred).
Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEN in a classroom or similar setting.
Skills: Confidence in managing challenging behaviours and using creative strategies to engage pupils.
Training: Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable but not essential, as training is provided).
Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible for this role, candidates must:
Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Have an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
Provide two professional, child-related references.
