Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the mechanical aspects of a large-scale residential project. You will be responsible for managing the mechanical engineering and installation processes, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the mechanical services on-site, ensuring the installation of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems.
* Oversee and coordinate mechanical contractors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with specifications, schedules, and budgets.
* Collaborate with the project team to ensure effective communication and problem-solving across disciplines.
* Ensure that health and safety standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
* Monitor progress, conduct site inspections, and provide technical support to resolve any issues.
* Review and approve mechanical drawings, specifications, and submittals.
* Prepare and manage project documentation, reports, and budget forecasts.
* Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager in the construction industry, preferably within residential projects.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
* Experience managing large-scale projects, including budget and schedule management.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and subcontractors effectively.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field (preferred).
* Relevant industry certifications and memberships (e.g., Chartered Engineer) are a plus.
* Experience working in Liverpool or the surrounding region is advantageous
