Our client is looking for a skilled and proactiveLoad Test & QA Engineerto join their team and ensure the highest standards of safety and performance across a variety of vehicle lifts and other workshop equipment. In this role, youll be travelling across the UK, conducting essential load testing and certification on newly installed equipment. From detailed inspections to hands-on testing, youll play a crucial role in ensuring that vehicle lifts meet rigorous safety regulations before theyre handed over to clients.

This role isnt just about technical expertise; its about bringing a meticulous eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering top-quality service. Youll be a key part of ensuring that clients have confidence in their equipment, contributing to the smooth and safe operation of their workshops.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load Testing and Certification:Perform testing and certification of vehicle lifts to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.
  • Installation Quality Checks:Inspect installations for quality, identify and resolve any issues, and report findings comprehensively.
  • Training Delivery:Provide training to vehicle technicians, ensuring they understand the safe and effective operation of vehicle lifts.
  • Snagging and Handover:Conduct snagging activities on completed installations, ensuring everything meets standards before client handover.
  • Minor Equipment Installation:Install smaller tools and equipment, such as bearing presses and other essential workshop tools.
  • Administrative Tasks:Complete and submit accurate electronic paperwork in a timely manner to maintain thorough documentation.
  • Team Support:Assist Installation Engineers in the setup and fitting of high-quality garage equipment, including vehicle lifts, MOT lanes, and cabinets.
  • Travel Requirements
    This role requires flexibility, with travel away from home up to three nights per week, every week.

What Youll Need:

  • Technical Knowledge:Previous experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical equipment is advantageous but not mandatorytraining will be provided.
  • Tech-Savvy:Confident in using mobile devices to complete tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Essential Licence:A full UK driving licence is required due to the nature of the role.
  • Work Ethic:A positive, proactive, and conscientious attitude, with a willingness to take on tasks at all levels to achieve outstanding results.
