Job Description
Term Time Teachers are working with special educational needs schools based in Crowborough who require a special needs teaching assistant. Your role as a special needs teaching assistant will include supporting children with special educational needs, particularly those with Autism, complex learning needs, profound and multiple learning difficulties, severe and moderate learning difficulties.
As a special needs teaching Assistant, you will be required to assist children with their learning and development. You'll help to provide a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can develop their confidence and academic skills.
As a special needs teaching assistant, you will assist a range of students of primary and secondary ages with a variety of individual needs and promote a positive attitude whilst also being able to manage challenging behaviour.
Your key responsibilities as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant include:
Patience and understanding towards children's diverse needs.
Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students and staff.
Assist students with SEN and additional needs.
Encourage participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities.
Ensure the classroom and equipment are kept in a safe and tidy condition.
Be able to remain calm and composed if presented with challenging behaviour.
Safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils
Demonstrate a positive attitude.Benefits

Requirements:
Have previous experience either on a personal or professional level
Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be happy to apply.
Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Be able to provide two references within the last 2 years.
Relevant qualifications in education are advantageous but not essential
