Computer Numerical Control Machinist

Role: CNC Miller 5 Axis (Setter / Operator)

Salary: Very Competitive Salary On Offer

Location: On Site In Wellingborough

Shifts: Monday - Friday (Days Only)

Wanted: CNC Setter/Operator to join my clients team in Wellingborough. You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines. Preparing materials and tooling for upcoming jobs, loading and operating machines to meet desired quantities, conducting in-process inspection and checking against drawings and specifications to ensure they are made accurately and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set & operate up to 5 axis machinery
• Ability to read, interpret and communicate technical information
• Modify and edit programs to compensate for materials, tooling or machine centre conditions.
• Manage and Operate Fanuc controls
• Removal, completion, and hand finishing of components (De-burr)
• Basic machine maintenance, cleaning, oil, coolant etc.
• Logging work, filling in route cards, submitting parts for inspection.
• Ability to use various types of precision measuring instruments.
• Quality awareness and attention to detail
• Participate in continuous improvement activities
• Work well under pressure with tight deadlines
