Commercial Finance Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and financially minded individual to join our Business Development team as a Commercial Finance Assistant. The role is based in our Harrogate office working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5.30pm.

Purpose of the Role:

This talented individual will play a pivotal role in supporting the business development team. The ideal candidate will be bright, financially minded, and highly analytical, with a strong willingness to learn and grow within the field of commercial finance.

As an integral part of the team, this individual will be responsible for analysing both current and future projects, encompassing financial and non-financial aspects. They will also lead market research initiatives and contribute to the development of our pricing process. The ideal candidate will have great communication and the ability to work both as part of a team but also individually. Strong industry understanding highly desirable.

This role has a strong potential of progression onto a Commercial Finance Analyst role if certain criteria is met.

Main Duties:

• Build and develop accommodation schedules based on floorplans/information provided by clients.
• Provide/Support market research on rental levels, scheme specifications and occupancy both internally and externally for the following sectors – Build to Rent (BTR), Co-Living & Single Family Rental (SFR).
• Develop overall understanding of the commercial aspects of the housing sector, understanding cost assumptions and trends within the BTR & C-Living sectors specifically.
• Providing weekly Co-Living London updates to the Head of Business Development to assist in business updates.
• Leading on the development of the market intel platforms currently in use within the business, enhancing the effectiveness of the respective systems.
• Liaising with the REalyse senior team in increasing market research understanding and implementing that understanding into improving our market research capabilities.
• Assist on weekly new business reporting for executive teams' management plan.
• Support with initial client queries on NOI models.
• Eventual progression to assisting and analysing budgeting on NOI models for investment clients and prospective fund managers.
• Assisting and liaising with investment clients on budget queries/working with the clients to achieve alignment of rental levels and costs.
