Day to day responsibilities:
* Produce detailed GA drawings to define project layouts and spatial configurations
* Develop floor and rack layout drawings to illustrate equipment placements and optimise space usage
* Create electrical connection drawings to specify wiring paths, ensuring compliance and safety
* Draft mechanical assembly drawings detailing components and assembly processes for manufacturing and installation teams
* Compile a schedule of materials and quantities to support accurate resource planning and project budgeting
* Develop method statements and schedules of work to guide safe, efficient project execution
Skill set required for the role:
* Experience in an electrical, mechanical, or building services design/drawing office environment
* Background in the electrical installation, electronic systems, or communication engineering industry
* Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
* Proficiency in technical drawing software (e.g., AutoCAD)
* Strong attention to detail to ensure design accuracy and specification compliance
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with engineers and cross-functional teams
Salary and benefits:
* £250 a day
* Hybrid working
