Job Description

Responsibilities: Ensure product information and product specifications are in place and reviewed regularly for all products Liaise with New product development technologist and innovations sector heads on receipt of new product developments and compiling final product specification Review product information and specifications from our suppliers to ensure it complies to local and relevant international legislation. Assist the food safety team with internal auditing and raw material risk assessment reviews. Perform regulatory administrative tasks. Assist with customer request for regulatory/ food safety documentation. Coordinating of information required for regulatory requirements (e.g. Kosher& Halaal Applications, GMO status, allergen information etc.) Permit applications with DALRRD. Update and maintain virtual store. Assist with internal and external customer and supplier audits. When deemed competent by management you will be required to provide peer training which will be assessed by management team. Ensuring that information on customers specification portals are up to date. Requirements: Basic knowledge of the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act (54 of 1972). Computer literate ( MS Office. Excel, Powerpoint). Professional presentation of reports. Tertiary Qualification in Food Technology (BSc Food Science, Food Technology). Able to travel within South Africa and support the trading team at customers. 5 years in a food manufacturing QC/QA role. Experience with FSSC 22000, BRCGS, or ISO 22000. Perform well under pressure and be flexible in working hours. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
