Two roles are currently available One our Manchester region and the other in Yorkshire within the New Homes construction business, developing High rise/multi storey/Single family housing projects.

Job Description
Summary of Position
The post holder will be joining an experienced, specialist new build residential construction contractor, who have a number of high rise projects currently on site in the North. Capitalising on their growing reputation, expanding client base and strong position, in the development of multi-family high-rise properties through to single family living
As the need for ensuring compliance grows, it has been identified that a dedicated role focusing on Construction Quality is essential.
Reporting
The role will report into the Head of Construction Quality
Primary Responsibilities
Read and understand technical reports e.g. fire strategy, drawings and specifications and interpret on site.
Work with the site teams and advise on the development of Project Quality Plans and Package Inspection and Test plans.
Undertake weekly site visits to the projects allocated to you to benchmark the inspections being done by our team and Supply chain and ensure standards are being met.
Promote a right first-time culture on site to prevent delays, re-work, and re-visits.
Deliver CPD sessions and Quality Toolbox talks to site teams on specific subjects at key stages in the build.
Implement an ISO accredited quality management system within our high rise/mixed use and residential business units
Train site teams in the use of the Quality management software.
Audit implementation of the electronic QA system and provide monthly reports to operations and board directors
Manage Quality KPIs and monitor trends in order to advise on common build defects.
Work alongside document controllers in administering the system
Ensure that the company fulfils its obligations with regards to building control, building warranty providers, mortgage lenders and building safety regulator
Ensure that projects maintain the golden thread of information and building Safety Act requirements.
Whilst the role will involve final inspections and handover quality, much of the role involves ensuring that the technical install is compliant withExperience
Experience in high rise / commercial construction as well as house building (essential)
Significant work experience within the construction industry in Site management or similar QA or Clerk of works role.
Strong building technology knowledge to know what good looks like for all elements of the building throughout the build examples of which Reinforced concrete, Drylining, Masonry support and cladding systems, Fire protection and Mechanical and Electrical services.
Knowledge of the systems and techniques used in both low rise traditional housing and Highrise projects.
Familiarity with the new Building Safety Act and associated legislation. (preferable)
Experience of EWS1 for high rise buildings Use of the Aconex Field or similar electronic Quality Management software
Experience overseeing quality within a Construction Mortgage Lending (CML) environment (preferable)
Qualifications
Qualifications & Training
Construction related degree or diploma. (preferred not essential)
Professional membership of (MCIOB/MCABE/MICWCI). (preferred not essential)
Relevant Construction Skills Certificate Card
Proficient in Microsoft office
Valid UK driving Licence.
Maintain own CPD with knowledge and awareness of current material and construction legislation & research.
Keep up to date with the latest technological advances, giving recommendations or warnings as appropriate.Qualities
Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
Positive, self-motivated, and able to work autonomously/remotely on several projects at once.
Ability to monitor and check works or information and plan time and resources efficiently even under the pressure of multiple demands.
Able to build good relationships at all levels, externally and internally.
