Job Title: Lead Temporary Works Coordinator
Location: Buckingham Area
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Type: Full-time, Permanent position
Overview:
Join a high-performing team shaping the future of infrastructure as a Lead Temporary Works Coordinator for a prestigious high-speed rail project. Based near Buckingham, this role is crucial in overseeing all Temporary Works (TW) activities within the Calvert Area, ensuring safety, compliance, and successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the team of Temporary Works Coordinators (TWCs) within the Calvert Area.
Perform TWC duties as needed and maintain the Temporary Works Control Register.
Assess risks associated with TW activities and ensure accurate recording.
Contribute to the preparation of Temporary Works Design Briefs in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
Oversee the design, checking, approval, installation, maintenance, and removal of TW.
Prepare and communicate Safe Systems of Work for TW erection, use, and dismantling.
Ensure site conditions, ground loadings, and assumptions align with design requirements throughout project execution.
Enforce hold points (Permit to Load/Unload) and verify compliance before proceeding.
Confirm the competence of bespoke fabricators and maintain comprehensive project records.
Skills & Qualifications:
Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
Extensive experience in Temporary Works Coordination and major civil engineering projects.
In-depth knowledge of BS5975 standards.
CSCS Temporary Works Coordinator Training certification.
Strong IT skills and excellent organizational abilities.
Mandatory:
CSCS Card (Black, Blue, Gold, Red-Experienced, or White/Yellow).
Full UK driving license.
