Technical Tools Specialist – Downhole Tools – Permanent Role – Based Aberdeen

Our client is a specialist provider or equipment & services within drilling & well services.

They are currently looking to hire a Technical Tools Specialist for a permanent role based in their Aberdeen facility with potential for both offshore work locally and internationally.

We are seeking suitably qualified and experienced individuals with a background in Tubing-Conveyed Perforating (TCP) Completions as well as experience with downhole hydraulics/tools.

Role Description:

The Technical Tool Specialists will be responsible for the successful execution of offshore operations in collaboration with onshore field support services team. They are responsible for planning & preparation, mobilization, execution and demobilization of all equipment and services.

Responsibilities:

Perform work safely, efficiently, and compliant to both company and customer requirements.
Safe and proactive behaviour, active use of 4-point-check, toolbox talk, interventions, and proactive reporting.
Check and prepare equipment at customer site, ensuring all details of the job are accurate and correct.
Perform service and installation of company product portfolio according to quality control plans and best practise procedures.
Prepare necessary job reports and documentation for all tool installation and offshore activities including run records.
On occasion required to be in the workshop to help prepare, test and mobilise equipment for offshore operations, including carrying out check list drawings of tools prior to shipment.
Required to work ad-hoc with a potential to travel at short notice
Education / Experience:

Educated to degree level or equivalent, a strong background and experience in offshore execution may compensate for lack of engineering discipline degree.
Proven experience of offshore operations experience with a proven track record in successful job execution.
Understanding of downhole hydraulics and a sound ability to carry out hydraulic calculations.
Running Tubing deployed permanent and retrievable bridge plugs
TCP, washing and pressure testing tools
Experience with cement tools
Experience with fishing/milling (desirable but not essential).
Salary:

Competitve Base Annual Salary + UK Offshore Day Rate ( enhanced day rate for international work ).

Please note no sponsorship or VISA will be provided for this position therefore a UK right of work is essential.
