SALARY - UP TO £70,000!
LOCATION - STEVENAGE

The role:
As a Safety Engineer, you'll lead and influence the safety assurance of advanced missile systems, ensuring high-quality Hazard Analyses and Safety Case Reports. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and customers, you'll balance safety requirements with engineering challenges to deliver cost-effective, evidence-based safety solutions. With a focus on mentoring junior engineers, you'll drive compliance with safety standards like Def Stan 00-056 while optimizing processes to meet complex system certification requirements. Strong leadership, systems engineering expertise, and a background in complex electronic systems are key to success in this role.
What we want from you:
Extensive experience with UK and international safety and systems engineering standards, particularly Def Stan 00-056.
Skilled in producing and delivering Safety Case Reports and supporting analyses (Hazard Analysis, Functional Failure Analysis, FTA) to demonstrate effective hazard mitigation.
Strong leadership with a passion for mentoring and developing team members, ensuring projects are adequately resourced with the right skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of integrating safety evaluation into systems engineering certification processes.
In-depth expertise in complex electronic systems and safety, with flexibility to consider candidates from design, software, or manufacturing disciplines.
For Security Clearance reasons to work this role you must have British citizenship or be a dual national with British citizenship
