Job Description
Our client, a prominent company in the power utilities and distribution sector, is seeking an experienced HV Estimator to join their expanding team located outside of crewe. This permanent role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the design, installation, and maintenance of networks for a diverse range of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare tenders and quotations from specifications and drawings within set timeframes.
Develop tenders and quotations based on DNO Point of Connection offers within defined deadlines.
Conduct site assessments to identify risks and potential issues.
Produce formal handover documentation for approved projects.
Attend handover meetings to explain project scope, estimates, clarifications, and assumptions.
Complete all required company procedure documents and financial records.
Review and report on projects with the Business Development Manager.
Review documents and participate in contract meetings with clients and contractors.
Job Requirements:
Comprehensive understanding of DNOs, IDNOs, and ICPs.
Proven experience in delivering technical solutions and costings for electrical and civil projects up to 33kV on private or regulated DNO/IDNO networks.
Strong commercial acumen with excellent attention to detail and quality.
Outstanding teamwork, financial, and organisational skills.
Confident in presenting to senior managers and directors.
High level of computer literacy.
General knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and their practical implications.
Self-motivated while able to work effectively as part of a team.
Customer-focused and driven to achieve success.
Proficient in mentoring and developing others
