About the Role:
As an HLTA, you will be an integral part of a close-knit and dedicated team, covering lessons across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2. You will be delivering engaging pre-planned lessons, supporting students with their learning, and providing tailored interventions, particularly for those with Special Educational Needs (SEND). Your dynamic, positive, and inclusive approach will help foster a supportive and engaging environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
Lesson Delivery: Confidently lead pre-planned lessons across all primary key stages, ensuring a high-quality learning experience during PPA time or in the absence of the class teacher.
SEND Support: Provide individual or small-group support, particularly for students with SEND, ensuring they receive the tailored help they need to thrive.
Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment with fantastic behaviour management skills that promote respect and engagement.
Interventions: Plan and deliver effective interventions for both small groups and individuals, supporting their academic and personal development.
Collaboration: Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils.
Adaptability: Deliver lessons across various year groups and subjects, adapting your approach to meet the needs of different learners.
What We’re Looking For:
Experienced HLTA: You should have experience teaching across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, with a clear understanding of the curriculum and teaching strategies for different year groups.
Resilience & Positivity: A dynamic, positive, and resilient approach to teaching and learning, with the ability to manage diverse classroom environments and foster inclusivity.
Classroom Management: Strong classroom management skills that help maintain a productive and respectful learning atmosphere.
SEND Experience: Experience working with students with SEND is highly valued, enabling you to provide tailored support for their learning.
DBS & References: A valid DBS check and two professional references are required.
