Our client is a leading building services company , they are urgently seeking an experienced commercial combustion engineer to cover London and the home counties. So applicants must live within easy reach of London, preferably within or just outside the M25
Job Summary
A mobile commercial commercial combustion engineer to join a heating team within an HVAC Services business unit.
The Heating team operate and maintain hundreds of sites across London and the home counties. Customers are very varied, including both public and private organisations.
Maintain all types of boilers, burners and heating distribution systems.
The work is a mixture of planned maintenance and repair works. A call-out service is in operation, although numbers of call-outs these days are low.
Description of the Role
The commercial combustion engineers role is to deliver maintenance to SFG20 and repair works and reactive services to a professional standard.
The mobile commercial combustion engineers role includes but not limited to the following:
Work to ensure routine services, maintenance and repairs are carried out correctly
Be able you use and understand a CAFM system
Deliver planned preventative maintenance to schedule
Assist with technical issues on site, providing technical support
Ensure all service reports are completed correctly and within the contract timeline
Produce quality reports and quotations
Provide feedback, both to the team and management
Build excellent working relationships with customers
Communicate effectively with customers
Site asset management and verification for new and existing sites
Work to Company operational handbook and policies
Undertake Toolbox Talks
Form part of an on-call rota
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
Working on all types of boilers, burners and heating assets
Servicing with an optimisation and efficiency bias
Coordinate on site work activity for highly complex and multi person jobs.
Diagnosis and repair systems malfunctions requiring specific technical knowledge as well as an understanding of time and material requirements
Responsible for reactive call outs, trouble shooting and resolving faults
Produce quotations for additional works and repairs as required
Oversee Health & Safety in line with our client’s systems
Qualifications
Commercial Gas qualifications
Gas Certification Scheme commercial card GasSafe Registration commercial card
Minimum six years’ experience in the field
A time served apprenticeship
A full UK driving licence is essential for this position
Proof of eligibility to work in the UK will be required
Holiday: In addition to bank & public holidays, the Employee’s annual holiday entitlement is 23 days.
Hours of Work: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
Place of Work: Mobile, Customer sites.
Earnings: The annual salary would be £53,000 to £55,000 per annum, based upon experience.
Overtime is regularly made available, enabling you to potentially earn between £10,000 and £20,000 in extra income per year.
Contributory Pension: our client will contribute 4% of the Employee’s basic salary (not including bonus payment) to a personal pension plan through Scottish Widows.
Vehicle: You will be provided with a high spec commercial vehicle, which includes; SatNav, automatic transmission, air conditioning, comfort seating and tools racking. You will be issued with a fuel card
