Midas Recruitment Ltd is delighted to be supporting this highly-regarded, growing, established, family-owned company, based in the Lichfield area, (an easy commute from Sutton Coldfield, Burntwood, Aldridge and Tamworth), that wishes to hire a new Accountant.

Accountant Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Managing Director, the varied responsibilities, making use of Sage and Excel, will include;
* Preparation of the VAT return,
* Reconciliation of the bank accounts
* Overseeing sales and purchase ledger, including supplier statement reconciliations
* Payroll
* Control account reconciliations
* Month-end reporting
* Supervise/lead one assistant
Accountant Skills and Experience:
* Ideally, you will have prior experience in a broad 'hands-on' accounting role in a Small/Medium Enterprise (SME)
* Confident in your own accounting ability, taking pride in the quality/accuracy of work produced
* An organised, clear communicator, with good time management skills
* Able to be a 'problem-solver', and be effective in a busy office environment
