Maths and English Tutor 11

We are seeking skilled and passionate tutors to provide 1:1 Maths and English support for children in Waltham Forest. You'll work closely with local councils to deliver tailored tuition for students who have additional funding, helping them to overcome barriers and succeed academically. Sessions can be conducted in the child's home, school, or local library, with flexible scheduling to suit your availability.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, personalized lessons in Maths and English
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student
• Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing updates to parents, schools, or councils as required
• Collaborate with families and education professionals to ensure the student's needs are met
• Maintain accurate records and comply with safeguarding requirements

Requirements:

• Experience teaching Maths and English is essential
• SEN/SEMH experience is highly desirable
• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one)

Desirable Qualifications:

• QTS or PGCE in Maths or English
