About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Manager to oversee and manage residential healthcare operations in a designated region.
As a Regional Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of high-quality care across multiple residential healthcare facilities, such as nursing homes, assisted living centre's, and long-term care facilities. You will lead a team of service managers and staff, collaborate with senior leadership, and drive operational excellence while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
This is a leadership role that requires a deep understanding of the residential healthcare sector, strong management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership & Team Management:
- Provide leadership and guidance to facility managers and staff across multiple residential healthcare facilities within the assigned region.
- Set clear performance expectations and goals for facilities, ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall mission and objectives.
- Mentor, coach, and support facility managers to enhance their leadership and operational capabilities.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify training needs, and facilitate professional development initiatives for facility teams.
2. Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations across all facilities, ensuring high-quality care and services are consistently provided to residents.
- Monitor facility performance, including financials, operational efficiency, patient care quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure that all facilities are adhering to company policies, healthcare regulations, and industry best practices.
- Lead regional initiatives to improve operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and resident satisfaction.
3. Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for each facility within the region, ensuring financial targets are met and that facilities operate within allocated budgets.
- Review financial reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) regularly to identify areas for improvement and take corrective actions.
- Work closely with the finance department to ensure accurate billing, revenue generation, and the efficient use of resources.
4. Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all facilities comply with relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards, licensure, and accreditation requirements.
- Lead regional audits and inspections to ensure facilities are in compliance with healthcare laws and regulations.
- Implement quality assurance processes and monitor resident satisfaction levels, addressing any concerns or complaints promptly.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in residential healthcare.
5. Strategic Planning & Growth:
- Contribute to the development and execution of regional strategic plans to enhance the quality of care and expand the business.
- Identify opportunities for expansion or new facility openings within the region, working closely with senior leadership and business development teams.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote the company’s services and expand its presence within the residential healthcare market.
6. Stakeholder & Community Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, local authorities, and community organizations.
- Represent the organization in regional healthcare forums, conferences, and networking events.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and caregivers to ensure excellent service delivery and high satisfaction levels.
7. Health & Safety Oversight:
- Ensure that health and safety protocols are implemented and adhered to across all facilities, protecting both residents and staff.
- Lead initiatives to improve infection control, emergency preparedness, and general safety within the facilities.
- Monitor staff training and compliance related to health and safety standards.
8. Reporting & Documentation:
- Provide regular reports to senior management on the performance of facilities, financial outcomes, and other key metrics.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation on operational processes, regulatory compliance, staff performance, and resident care standards.
- Develop action plans based on audit findings, performance reviews, and resident feedback.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Educational Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant healthcare management certifications (e.g., NHA, HCAM) is highly desirable.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in healthcare management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or regional management role within the residential healthcare or long-term care sector.
- Proven experience managing multiple facilities or sites and overseeing diverse teams.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and quality management systems within the residential care environment.

Pay: £60,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
