Job Description

Temporary Senior Finance Officer – Oxford (OX1) £18.43 Per Hour + Holiday Pay


One of our prestigious Clients is seeking an expert Finance professional to support their team and oversee various critical financial activities, on an urgent temporary basis.

Process oriented and detailed, the ideal candidate should be able to showcase proven skills when it comes to managing the company’s balance sheet, with extensive experience in reconciliations.

If you can demonstrate a dedicated background in accounts administration, gained within a complex organisation, this could be perfect for you.

This is a full-time temporary assignment, based in Central Oxford, with no parking.


Please note: This is a temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis. This role will start quickly, so candidates with a lengthy notice period cannot be considered.


Temporary Senior Finance Officer Responsibilities

  • Balance sheet reconciliation
  • General Ledger accounts
  • Overseeing and undertaking transaction processes
  • Assisting with internal and external audits
  • Approval of expenses
  • Implementation of finance procedures
  • Credit card management
  • Production of year-end information
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Monthly reporting
  • Research accounts

Temporary Senior Finance Officer Requirements

  • Dedicated accounting background
  • ACCA qualified or equivalent
  • Knowledge of SAP Concur
  • Demonstrable skills within balance sheet management
  • Strong IT user, in particular the ability to use MS Excel to an advanced standard to analyse and manipulate data
  • Proven experience of computerized financial systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand complex regulations and translate them into day to day working
  • Familiarity with financial and research administration
  • Experience of working in a complex, layered or matrix framework


Location

Our client is based in Oxford (OX1). There is no parking on site, so you should plan to commute without a car.
