Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver tailored lessons for students based on their ability and targets.
• Teach Maths, English, and Science up to GCSE level with passion and creativity.
• Deliver lessons to students ranging from KS2 to KS5, depending on qualifications and expertise.
• Plan and deliver 11+ and entrance examination classes to individual children and small groups.
• Prepare teaching materials and provide feedback to parents/guardians.
• Assign and review homework to support student progress.
• Deliver lessons in various formats, including 1:1, small group, and larger lecture-style classes.
• Support the development of GiftedThinkers as an innovative online school.

Requirements

• Essential:

  • A degree from a leading university with a minimum classification of a 2:1, received within the last 10 years.
  • UK residency and permission to work in the UK.
  • Proven academic excellence from GCSE through to degree level.
  • Teaching experience and prior experience with students in an academic capacity.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, and Science up to GCSE level.
  • Confidence with technology and video conferencing tools.
  • Start time 3pm-9pm on weekdays (Monday-Friday).
  • Enhanced DBS check (support provided to obtain if needed).

• Preferred:

  • A Masters or further education in a specific field.
  • Over 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Expertise in supporting SEND students.
  • Familiarity with 11+ and Entrance Exams, particularly in Manchester and London.
  • Experience creating educational resources.
  • High academic achievements (GCSE grades 7-9; A levels above grade B; first class degree; academic awards).
