Job Title: Senior Support Worker – Children’s Residential Home
Location: Solihull
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join a children’s residential home in Solihull, supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional to step into a leadership role, guiding a team in delivering high-quality care and ensuring the safety and well-being of children.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the daily operations of the home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations.
* Act as a role model and mentor to junior staff, providing guidance, training, and supervision.
* Work directly with children to provide person-centered support tailored to their individual needs and goals.
* Assist in the development and implementation of care plans that promote independence, confidence, and positive outcomes.
* Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed, maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
* Collaborate with families, external agencies, and the management team to ensure cohesive care delivery.
Requirements:
* Experience in a children’s residential care setting, preferably working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent (Level 4 desirable).
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
* A compassionate, proactive approach and a genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their potential.
