You are a compassionate professional with proven experience as a main support worker handling a caseload of adults with primary, severe, and enduring mental health needs. You excel in providing practical and emotional support within a community setting using a person-centered approach. Strong in English communication, you can converse with customers accurately and courteously. You are knowledgeable about the Care Act 2014, familiar with the principles of personalization, and proficient with IT skills. You thrive in team environments, collaborating and cooperating effectively. You demonstrate exemplary behavior, taking responsibility, being open and respectful, listening to customer concerns, and working collaboratively with colleagues and partners to find solutions.
What the Job Involves
As a Mental Health Enablement Officer, you will provide high-quality support to service users, empowering them to achieve their care and health outcomes. You will assess, design, and implement care plans while working within local policies and legislation. Your role involves collaborating with service users to establish effective relationships and promoting their inclusion and participation in the community. You coordinate with professionals and community organizations, ensuring service users have advocacy assistance and opportunities for independent living. You uphold the Council’s policies on health, safety, data management, and safeguarding, while actively engaging in training and team workshops to enhance service delivery. You are expected to comply with financial regulations and contribute to achieving positive outcomes alongside mental health colleagues and various stakeholders.
