My client, a prominent and forward-thinking Town Planning Consultancy, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Town Planner to join our team. Key Responsibilities as a Principal Town Planner:
Lead the strategic planning and management of urban development projects, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
Provide expert guidance on urban design, zoning, and environmental sustainability.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, local authorities, and stakeholders to achieve planning objectives.
Conduct detailed assessments, including feasibility studies, impact analyses, and land use evaluations.
Oversee and mentor a team of planning professionals, fostering growth and excellence within the department.Qualifications & Experience needed for the Principal Town Planner:
Degree in Urban Planning, Town Planning, or a related field (advanced qualifications preferred).
Professional accreditation or chartership (e.g., RTPI, AICP, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Demonstrable years of progressive experience in urban or town planning, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
Strong knowledge of planning legislation, frameworks, and emerging trends.
