We are currently recruiting for Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join our agency workforce across the Scotland. As an agency worker, you will provide essential care and support to patients within various healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and residential care facilities. Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the personal care of patients, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Support patients with mobility, transferring them safely using appropriate equipment.
• Monitor and record patients’ vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Assist in the feeding and hydration of patients, ensuring that dietary needs are met.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
• Help with the administration of medication, where appropriate, under the guidance of medical staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to health and safety standards.
• Follow care plans and communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure the best possible care for patients.
Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar healthcare role, with atleast 6 months UK experience.
• Valid and up-to-date DBS check (or be willing to undergo one).
• Compassionate, patient, and able to work effectively with vulnerable people.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work on a flexible, agency-based schedule, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (preferred but not essential).
• A positive and proactive attitude towards patient care.
