About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Southwark. In this role, you will support the individual learning and development needs of children with SEN, ensuring their emotional, social, and academic well-being. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in a collaborative and inclusive school environment.
An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to pupils across the year groups with SEN in 1:1 and small group settings.
Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting learning activities.
Foster children's growth and independence through engaging and purposeful interactions.
Monitor and record pupils' progress, sharing observations with the teaching team and parents.
Promote a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment in line with safeguarding policies.Requirements:
Previous experience working with children, ideally in an SEN or primary school setting.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
A patient, compassionate nature with a commitment to supporting children with diverse needs.
