Our client, a leading supplier in the engineering and mechanical sector, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project management operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Resource Planning: Plan and allocate resources efficiently for various engineering and mechanical projects.
Project Management: Oversee all aspects of project management, including the man-management of site personnel, to ensure smooth operations and timely completion.
Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, project teams, and site teams, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all quality assurance processes are completed and submitted in a timely manner, adhering to industry standards.
Documentation: Produce all required safety and quality documentation for projects, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Contract Management: Fulfil all project contractual requirements, ensuring client satisfaction and project success.
Supervision: Manage Site Supervisors to ensure projects are delivered safely, within the defined scope, and on budget.
Meetings and Coordination: Attend and contribute to weekly project meetings, assisting with labour scheduling, and maintaining smooth project operations.
Environmental Compliance: Ensure that all environmental regulations are adhered to across all project sites.
Quoting and Variations: Prepare and record project variations, and quote for new works when necessary.
Project Programming: Develop comprehensive project programs and communicate expectations clearly to Site Supervisors.
Planning: Ensure that all project planning forms are completed before the start of each project, ensuring resource availability and proper allocation.
Vehicle Inspections: Oversee the weekly inspection of vehicles to ensure operational efficiency.
Invoicing: Raise project-related sales invoices and applications for payments in a timely manner.
Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and third parties.
Process Improvement: Follow established processes and communicate potential improvements for further development.
Site Audits and Workforce Management
Ad-hoc Tasks: Undertake any other reasonable tasks as required to support the project and company goals.
Qualifications and Skills:
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of MS Office.
Licensing: Valid Driving License and CSCS certification.
Experience:
Proven experience in project management within engineering or construction .
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Delegation: Ability to delegate tasks effectively to ensure smooth project operations.
Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
Communication: Outstanding communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
