- £700-£740-**Inside IR35**
- 1-2 day a week Hybrid Working - Somerset
- 18 Months
The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for working within the Technology Production Engineering department and will be responsible for all aspects of the change lifecycle of the project working on a large complex project.
As a Senior Business Analyst your key responsibilities will include:
- Enterprise and business architecture. You understand and can apply the current target operating model to work.
- Business process improvement. You know how to analyse current services and processes and can identify and implement opportunities to optimise these. You can help to evaluate and establish requirements using relevant techniques such as gap analysis.
- Producing business cases and options analysis.
- Business analysis. You can investigate problems and analyse options for new and existing services. You know how to provide recommendations to solutions. You can work with stakeholders to identify objectives, opportunities, and potential benefits available.
- Requirements definition and management. You know how to source requirements. You can facilitate the setting of business priorities for complex change initiatives. You can manage and implement requests for changes to baseline requirements.
- Working within Agile development teams, writing User Stories with clear Acceptance Criteria as required by the Product Owner. Sometimes working as a Product Owner.
- Testing (business analysis). You can review requirements, specifications and define test conditions. You can identify issues and risks associated with work while being able to analyse and report test activities and results.
- Developing Change Management Plans.
- Developing training materials and delivering training for end users in new business processes and systems.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Extensive experience in producing detailed models for As-Is and To-Be scenarios, including:
Activity Diagrams/ Business Process Models
Data models (Class diagrams)
State Transition Diagrams
Use Cases
Wireframes
- Proven ability to identify and engage key stakeholders, tailoring communication to their needs. Skilled at fostering collaboration, resolving opposing views, and building consensus to support project objectives.
- Demonstrated experience working within Agile development teams. Proficient in writing user stories with clear acceptance criteria and occasionally taking on the role of Product Owner to support development cycles.
- Expertise in eliciting, documenting, and managing business requirements. Adept at facilitating prioritisation for complex change initiatives and managing updates to baseline requirements.
- Skilled in investigating and analysing problems for both new and existing services. Able to work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify objectives, uncover opportunities, and recommend actionable solutions.
- Strong background in producing robust business cases and conducting comprehensive options analyses to guide strategic decision-making.
- Experienced in applying target operating models to align processes and solutions with organisational objectives.
- Proficient in analysing current services and processes, identifying optimisation opportunities, and implementing improvements. Knowledgeable in using techniques like gap analysis to evaluate and establish requirements effectively.
