The Role
As a teacher of Design Technology - Second in Charge, you will:
Support the Head of Department in driving innovation, progress, and achievement across the Design Technology curriculum.
Lead on the development and delivery of Resistant Materials at KS3 and KS4, ensuring engaging, creative, and challenging lessons for all learners.
Assist with departmental planning, assessment, and resource management, fostering a culture of excellence.
Inspire, mentor, and support other teachers within the team, contributing to their professional development.
Play an active role in whole-school initiatives and the wider Design Technology community.Design Technology - Second in Charge
What We're Looking For
A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a strong track record of success in teaching Design Technology.
Expertise and passion for Resistant Materials, with the ability to deliver high-quality, practical, and theoretical lessons.
Strong leadership and organisational skills, with experience (or readiness) to take on middle leadership responsibilities.
A commitment to promoting a love of learning and fostering creativity in all students.
