The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Primary School Teacher to deliver high-quality education to a mixed-age class. You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons that meet the diverse needs of your students while supporting their academic, social, and emotional development. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a small group of learners, fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum, tailored to the needs of a mixed-age group.
Differentiate teaching strategies to ensure all students, regardless of year group or ability, are supported and challenged appropriately.
Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing feedback and setting targets to help them achieve their full potential.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages collaboration, respect, and a love for learning.
Engage with parents and guardians to build strong partnerships that support student success.
Participate in school activities and collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the wider school community.
Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following minimum criteria:
Experience: At least 1 year of teaching experience in a primary school setting, ideally with Key Stage 2 students.
Qualifications: A relevant degree in Education or a related subject, along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
Training: Strong understanding of Key Stage 2 curricula and assessment frameworks. Familiarity with safeguarding policies and procedures.
Skills: Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students in a mixed-age setting.
To be considered for the higher end of the salary bracket, candidates should demonstrate:
Advanced Teaching Experience: Extensive experience in teaching upper Key Stage 2, particularly in mixed-age or smaller group settings.
Curriculum Development: Experience in developing and adapting curriculum plans to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Leadership or Coordinator Roles: Experience as a subject lead or involvement in extracurricular activities to enhance school life.
Location:
This role is based in Buckminster, within a welcoming primary school that values creativity, collaboration, and student wellbeing. The school is in quite a remote location, so access to a car would be ideal, but not essential.
