Job Description
Role: Marine Contracts Manager
Location: Jersey, Channel Islands
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 + Car Allowance + Package
Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Marine Project Manager to take full responsibility for multiple marine civil engineering projects. This role involves leading a team of engineers, foremen, and direct labour while managing projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee projects ranging from minor works to £1-2m, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and manage project communications.
* Develop and approve risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
* Utilize Microsoft Project for contract scheduling and resource planning.
* Lead pricing and cost control efforts, including direct negotiations with clients and suppliers.
* Be a key stakeholder from initial design phase to handover
* Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff, fostering their development.
Required Skills:
* Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record in managing teams.
* Ability to think clearly under pressure and solve complex engineering challenges.
* Excellent communication skills adaptable to a wide range of stakeholders.
* Keen attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Minimum HNC/HND qualification with substantial experience in a senior operational role.
* Demonstrable experience in leading projects with full responsibility for health, safety, welfare, cost, and quality.
