Job Description
Sharp Consultancy is collaborating with a leading employer in Yorkshire to recruit a Financial Accountant. This company boasts an international presence and with their head office finance functions centralised in Leeds. With a large group Finance team, there are ample opportunities for career advancement.

Working closely to the Group Financial Controller:
You will be responsible for:
* Full understanding of each group company balance sheet ensuring full reconciliation with backup to support.
* Work closely with the Management Accountant – Commercial, to make sure all aspects of the accounts are complete and accurate.
* Seek to make improvements to the process enabling a more automated & timely prodcution.
* Prepare backup and detailed variance analysis so that any variances are fully understood.
* Prepare information for annual R&D tax submissions to our Accountants. This will include working alongside the Internal development lead who will provide the data to back this up.
* Manage the UK Tax submission process. Work with our Accountants to prepare Tax packs and answer any subsequent queries right through to final review with the CFO before submission.
* Ensure compliance with all group returns and tax filing deadlines around the various countries where the group has a presence working with the local Finance Team members and local Accountants.
* Develop, manage and maintain appropriate relationships with auditors, accountants and other external advisors/agencies.
* Be responsible for the Group Audit process in conjunction with the Management Accountant – Commercial.
* Point of contact to assist with producing advice should the business consider moving into other territories.
