Job Description
A well-established and leading manufacturing company based in Thirsk is looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join the business. With continuous growth and investment, this company just continues to go from strength to strength. In this position, you will be part of an autonomous and proactive engineering team.
The successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:
Maintaining heavy production equipment across the plant including both reactive and planned maintenance activities
Carrying out machinery inspections, recording and reporting and action/ faults and planning repairs
Working with paint pumps, so experience with these preferable
Working with Hydrostatic transmissions, Perkins, VM and Cummings engines
Maintaining side loaders, Counterbalance trucks and MEWPS
Installation of new machinery onsite and assisting with improvement projects to help improve overall machinery efficiencies.

I am really keen to see your CV if you are a time-served Maintenance Engineer, qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, ONC mechanical/electrical, BTEC level 3 in mechanical & electrical/electronic engineering). A good understanding of HACCP principles and ideally IEE qualification up to 18th edition wiring regulations would be advantageous. Has excellent analytical, planning & organising skills. Has awareness and understanding of key legislative and safety requirements within the engineering field and the ability to work well under pressure and be assertive when making decisions to keep things moving smoothly.
Ideally, you will like to work at speed and be able to think on your feet and be a creative and diligent Maintenance Engineer. This role is Monday to Friday days role with an early finish on a Friday
