Heavy Assembler
Location: Wolverhampton
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm; early finish on Fridays
Hourly Rate: Up to £15/hr (depending on experience)
We’re looking for a skilled Heavy Assembler to join our client's growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with precision engineering and high-quality components across various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assemble and maintain tooling components using hand and power tools
* Measure and adjust parts with micrometers
* Operate machinery like surface grinders to meet specifications
* Troubleshoot mechanical issues and maintain tools in excellent condition
* Ensure all assembly work meets high-quality standards
What We’re Looking For:
* Hands-on experience with hand and power tools
* Skilled in using micrometers and other measurement tools
* Previous manufacturing experience (toolmaking or metal pressings is a plus)
* Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent time management and the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality
