Job Description
Now Education are delighted to be working in partnership with an Alternative Education Provision in Trafford who are looking for a well qualified Head Of English to join their team of dedicated staff.
The role is to start in January 2025 and continue until the end of the academic year and beyond. There is an opportunity for a permanent position for the right candidate.
The hours of work are Monday - Friday 8.30am-4.00pm.
The school works hard to ensure that all pupils are acknowledged as individuals with the aim of supporting them to achieve their true potential.
The most recent Ofsted Report states the pupils who attend this school, who are some of the most vulnerable young people in Trafford, gain in self esteem, enjoy school, attend and thrive in the supportive and nurturing environment.
The ideal candidate will be a well qualified teacher of English with experience of teaching and working with young people who have a range of Complex and undiagnosed SEND such as Autism, SEMH, Complex and Challenging Behaviour, ADHD and Anxiety,
You will have previously taught English at KS3 and 4, including at GCSE.
You will have the ability to use a range of strategies to engage learners who have a range of additional needs and may well be vulnerable.
You will be passionate about the transformative effects of education and join the existing staff team in celebrating the small steps of success that the pupils achieve.
