Responsibilities At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Coverage and Investment Banking division (COV). COV offers a global advisory approach focused on strategic dialogue with clients. Building on long-term relationships based on trust, COV provides clients with a comprehensive range of services, particularly in investment banking and commercial banking activities. COV delivers tailor-made solutions to corporates, financial institutions, the public sector, and family offices. With a worldwide client reach and solid local expertise, COV operates in Europe (the UK, Germany, Italy, Iberia, and the CEEMEA region), the Americas, and Asia. You will work within the Global Coverage Support team, dedicated to supporting coverage bankers responsible for relationships with large corporate clients in Italy, within the Corporate & Investment Banking department (“COV”). Your main mission during your V.I.E. will be to support the Corporate & Investment Banking (COV) team of bankers in charge of a portfolio of clients in Italy. Your tasks will primarily include: Managing data on revenues and assets for the portfolio of clients (review, control, forecast, and reporting) and overseeing the internal client database referential for this portfolio. Structuring and implementing loans with coverage, including profitability calculations, reviewing loan documentation with clients, legal advisers, and business lines, and liaising with back-office for loan implementation. Providing commercial support to bankers, including liaising with product lines, participating in the production of pitch presentations for client meetings, and writing internal memos on client relationships and strategy. Profile Required PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply for a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship. Studies & Experience: Graduate with a Master’s degree from a Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Business/Finance or Economics. A previous experience in Finance or Banking (e.g., as a trainee) is appreciated. Language Skills: Fluent in English (B2-C1). Technical, Operational & Soft Skills: Proficient/Good command of MS Office. Good communication and presentation skills. The VIE Assignment in a Nutshell This VIE in Milan is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan for 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months. The VIE is a specific contract under Business France’s eligibility criteria, open to candidates under 28 from the member states of the European Economic Space.
