We successfully launched an Engineering Hub in Lisbon and we are set to replicate this journey in one of the most vibrant cities in Europe: Milan Milan’s hub will contribute to Mollie’s mission with multiple passionate agile engineering teams that will innovate, build and contribute to our portfolio of next-generation payment products. Our focus is on creating highly scalable solutions that can handle a high volume of payments per second throughout the day. Code quality and system scalability are of paramount importance, and we value forward-thinking experts who can contribute to building scalable systems. As an Engineer II for the Lead Creation team, you’ll be a vital part of our GTM Optimisation domain. This role is critical to 10x Lead Gen at Mollie, in order to hit our ambition to double our new business year on year. As a member of this team you will be developing cutting-edge, proprietary software tools that find relevant companies & data points on the internet, which will ensure Mollie has the most comprehensive database of ideal customer profile leads on the market, enriched by relevant data points and prioritized for targeting based on machine learning scoring. This role will be part of a new team of existing Mollies and new hires with skills in Application Engineering, Analytics Engineering, and data science. What you’ll be doing Develop and shape Mollie’s position in European markets by building a comprehensive lead generation tool. Work closely with other craft colleagues to turn great ideas into elegant and impactful products. Connect Mollie's systems to other external APIs to enrich the data against leads. While this is primarily a backend role, there might occasionally be some frontend problems to solve. We’ll create something new from the ground up. What you’ll bring A minimum of 6-8 years experience in developing large-scale web applications. Strong knowledge of Java is a must; other languages (like PHP, Go and TypeScript) are a plus. You know all about Service Oriented Architecture patterns. Some professional grasp of working with the public cloud (either GCP, AWS or Azure). You have a background in building scalable systems. Creative problem-solving skills. You have excellent communication skills, and you've worked effectively with different stakeholders. Nice to haves: You have previously worked in a fast-paced environment. You have previously worked within the Payments or FinTech sector. Benefits: Birthday off. 22 holiday days. Health insurance.
