Job Description
We are actively seeking a Mechanical Site Supervisor/Construction Manager who will play a key role in the delivery of construction works at Peterborough Hospital. Working closely with the Project Manager in the delivery of a varied portfolio of work.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate all on site (M or E) services installation and testing
* Order materials and equipment while following company protocols /procedures
* Work within a site management team structure to ensure successful project delivery
* Manage all (M or E) Sub Contractors and direct staff
* Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging issues
* Analyse, manage, and mitigate risks while enforcing works to be carried out as stated within approved RAMS
* Supervise and mange H&S on site to ensure safety on the jobsite
* Oversee all onsite installations to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
* Daily manage all (M or E) Sub Contractors
* Oversee and manage on site Quality Assurance
* Attend and provide input to on site daily briefings and site walks with main contractors
* Regularly attend site meetings as required
* Present weekly Toolbox talks
* Oversee the preservation of the site office and store areas
Experience & Knowledge
Essential
* Proven working experience in construction management
* Knowledge of HVAC & Plumbing systems, building products, construction details/design and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
* Familiarity with construction management software packages. Overall strong computer skills
Abilities and Skills
Essential
* Ability to plan
* Self-motivated with excellent time and project management skills
* Ability to work within an environment with deadlines while having to multi-task with multiple priorities
* SSSTS or equivalent
Remuneration & Duration
* Good rates of pay
